The Party's Over
Whew! We have reached the end of a long, but very fun day here at the Paauwe house. After church this morning, we had a few friends and their children over for dinner and some play time. It was a lot of fun. I am quite tired now though, but I'm nearly perpetually tired these days to be quite honest.
Caiden had a great time playing with the kids and I think everyone got their "Avery fix". The grilled chicken could have been better (we need Uncle Joes recipe!), but it was edible. The weather was pretty decent too. It is supposed to be quite cool next week.
We are only 11 days away now! I am sure that I will get more nervous as it gets even closer, but I have faith that all will work out. I just can't think about that day yet. I figure actually getting through it will be hard enough, so I try not to think too much in detail about the day or what I know will happen before, during and after the surgery. I know God will give me strength when the time comes....I just hope he realizes how much I will need!
Thanks to everyone who has taken up wearing the PRAYERS FOR AVERY bracelets in support of her journey...and thank you for your generous donations towards them.! We are forever grateful. If you have not got your hands on one, and you want to, please get in contact with me in Indianapolis, go to the Irvington Presbyterian Church office, or catch Jon at work OR contact my Mom in Tell City, Libby at the Tell City American Family Office, or the many other persons my Mom can put you in touch with who have taken bracelets to distribute. In Florida, contact Mom and Dad Paauwe; they should have the package of them I sent by Tues. this week. Thanks to all of those friends who have taken on the work of distributing bracelets to those who are touched by Avery's life. We ask that you please wear them as much as possible in solidarity with the rest of us.
Much love to all.
Holly
