Home Sweet Home
We arrived back home in Indianapolis this evening. We are so glad to be home, even if it may only be a few weeks before we are back out East again. After going though all the mail and listening to all the phone messages, we got dinner and just kind of collapsed. Jon is back to work tomorrow and Caiden is back to school. Caiden had a hard time getting to sleep tonight so I imagine I may be dealing with a bit of a grumpy guy in the morning.
Avery returns to therapy as well this week. She begins getting physical therapy 2 times a week starting tomorrow... a good thing considering all the delays we are trying to address. We are now up to two therapies on Tues, two on Weds, and one on Thurs. (2 PT, 2 OT, and 1 ST). It all keeps us pretty busy, but it is great to have so many people focused on Avery's progress. The therapists are all very good with her and are absolutely smitten with her (which is pretty easy to understand).
I talked to Noah's mom today and he is still in the hospital, though he has been moved from the PICU to a step down unit. She indicated that the MRV did in fact show a blood clot as expected and that Dr. Jallo does not know when they will all be able to go home. Noah is also running a fever off and on of about 102 degrees. I know this is all taking a toll on them mentally. Chris and Jenny have two other boys back home in North Carolina and are missing them. They both started kindegarten the week Noah had his surgery, so Chris and Jenny missed their first day of school. Again, please keep them in your prayers this week.
We hope to get a very preliminary version of a website for Avery up and running this week. Please keep in mind that it will be very basic and limited initially. I expect the website to be www.averypaauwe.com. I will let you know when it is actually up and running. Also, we will be ordering silicone bracelets for a fundraiser event to help cover our expenses while in Baltimore for her surgery and for the post-operative period. I will post more info as soon as I have it. If you are interested in purchasing some or helping sell them, please let us know and we will get you set up.
Thanks so very, very much for all the help so many of you have already contributed, as well as for the help many of you are still contributing or planning to contribute. We are forever grateful for your generosity and love! You have proven many times over what I have always said..."no matter what Avery may or may not be able to do, she will never be lacking in love!" Loved she is...greatly.
Many Blessings,
Holly

I just wanted to say it was great seeing you all this weekend. Thanks for trying to surprise me by coming to Tell City for the long weekend. I know everyone who got to see you all were pleased that you made the extra effort and I'm sure they were glad to see Avery again before the surgery. Her papaw and I sure enjoyed seeing her and we loved having Caiden spend the week with us while you were in Baltimore. He is such a joy to have around and we miss him so much when he leaves. I hope he is doing well in school and readjusting again. I guess he will be doing a lot of that this Fall. Thankfully, he seems to handle all of this very well. That is such a blessing! Love you all!...Mom
