Update from Baltimore

Hello, everyone! I am Kristin Shaw and my family and I go to church with the Paauwe's. Holly just called me and asked me to post an update for you. Avery is doing well. The surgical team entered the brain at about 12:15, and were working in the frontal lobe at last report at 1:30pm. There were no suprises, all looked much as they had anticipated. She has not needed any blood and is doing well on the ventilator. She still has 4-4 1/2 hours of surgery left, but all seems to be going well. Holly asked me to thank you all for your prayers and asked that you keep it up. She and the rest of the family are doing as well as you could expect. I hope to talk to you all again, soon, or that you can hear from Holly, herself. When she told me that she thought she'd be able to run over to the Children's House to update this blog between updates from the operating room, I thought, 'Yeah, right!' So, if you don't hear from me, it has been powerful to be part of this circle that the love for Avery has drawn us into together. Peace, Kristin
